Pastor Veorah Davis

Bishop Veorah B. Davis, Pastor
Bishop Veorah B. Davis answered the call to Pastor in September of 1980 and was consecrated as a Senior Bishop in the Holy Deliverance Churches of God, in 2004. She traveled by faith, along NC Highway 87 to Lillington, North Carolina in a twelve passenger van, accompanied by her then five year old grandson, Demetrius L. Hollingsworth (the premier drummer of Faith Deliverance Temple Church), to meet Mother Margaret McDougald, one of the first members, for Morning worship in their newly founded church, Faith Deliverance Temple Holy Deliverance Church of God, Foundation of the Truth, Inc. She is committed to humbly serving and leading the flock that God has placed her with and her theme or favorite saying is, “Others Lord, Others, this is my motto, ...that I may live for others that I may be more like thee”.

Bishop Davis is married to the Reverend Dr. Johnie C. Davis, Pastor of McLauchlin Chapel A.M.E. Zion Church, located in Raeford, North Carolina.  They have been married for almost 56 years and are the proud parents of five adult children, eighteen grandchildren and six great grand children.

Bishop Davis retired in 2007 from ITG, formerly, Burlington Menswear, in Raeford, North Carolina after thirty-seven years of service. Since that time, she has dedicated even greater time towards evangelism and service in the kingdom of God.

In addition to her role as Pastor of Faith Deliverance Temple Church, Bishop Davis is also a licensed cosmetologist, and part-time student at Native American College, where she continues to increase in intellectual and spiritual knowledge. Additionally, she is the instructor for the Holy Deliverance Churches of God, Ministerial bible class,

Bishop Veorah B. Davis is the Senior Bishop of the HDCOG International and travels in support of our Prelate, Apostle Bennie L. Kelly to spread the word of God internationally and win souls for the Kingdom. Some of these travels include Korea, Germany, Italy, and Africa.

The harvest fields are ripe, but the labors are few; time is quickly moving toward eternity and the night cometh when no man can work; therefore, we MUST work while it is day! God has promised never to leave us nor forsake us and we know and believe that the promises of God are yea and amen. God’s Woman of Faith, appointed, approved and anointed, to do the will of God is here—ready and available to do the will of Him who sent her.
