Bishop Nelson K Williams & Evangelist Lillian Williams

nullBishop/Pastor Nelson Williams was born on December 9th in Fayetteville, North Carolina. His parents, Edward and Rozena Williams, raised him in the Sampson County area. He received his childhood education through the Sampson County School System, and later attended Sampson Technical Community College, where he studied Engineering. He then began his studies in business of World Wide Travel and Tourism at the Southeastern Airline Academy in Kissimmee, Florida. He went on to earn a degree in Business Management at Hamilton University, in Evanston, WY. He received training and served as an Equal Opportunity Counselor at Fort Bragg, North Carolina and is also a trained mediator for the judicial court system. In addition, he is a graduate of the Personnel Management for Executives (PME) Course, which is sponsored by the Army Management Staff College in Fort Belvoir, Virginia and was selected by the college in 1999 to serve as a Resource Staff Member (RSM) for the PME Conference.

Pastor Williams’ God-fearing parents provided him with plenty of love and instilled in him Christian values. They prayed that God would use him someday to minister to others. Edward Williams took advantage of every opportunity to give his son spiritual advice. At the age of five, Pastor Williams’ father bought him a guitar. He immediately began to activate his gift by playing in his family’s church, which marked his entrance into the ministry.

Pastor Williams easily mastered the instrument and acknowledged God for his anointing and ability to play. He later performed with numerous choirs and groups throughout North Carolina and other states. He has worked with notable Gospel artists such as John P. Kee and The New Life Community Choir, Bruce Parham, Vicky Winans, Donnie Harper and The New Jersey Mass Choir, The Pace Sisters, Twinkie Clark, and Dorinda
Clark along with several other nationally known Gospel artist. He was a member of the music departments for several popular Gospel productions including Come Out of the Rain, Our Young Black Men Are Dying and No One Seems to Care, and Lord Why Me? Pastor Williams was also the bass guitarist for the television broadcast “Listen and Be Blessed.”

Although Pastor Williams enjoyed tremendous success as a musician, God had a higher calling for him. The Pastor joined Miracle Temple Holy Deliverance Church of God under the leadership of Dr. Bennie L. Kelly, and his outlook on life changed. He enrolled in the Bible Church of God Theological Institute and earned a diploma in Biblical Studies and Lectures. Soon thereafter, he met the beautiful Lillian Darissa Elliott during a Gospel concert at Methodist College in Fayetteville, North Carolina. The two married on December 22, 1990 and they grew together spiritually.

As time progressed, Pastor Williams received an appointment as General Superintendent for the Holy Deliverance Churches of God, Foundation of the Truth Incorporated. Two years later, his job as a government-employed civilian brought him and his wife to the Republic of Korea. Six months later, he became Pastor for the Collective Protestant Gospel Service at Camp Walker Chapel. He served there as the Pastoral Service Leader for more than eight years. He also became the Administrative Assistant to Bishop Larry L. Shaw for the Church of God in Christ, Korea. In July 2004, Pastor Williams was ordained into the office of Bishop in the Holy Deliverance Churches of God, Foundation of the Truth Incorporated. He is the Pastor of Unity Christian Fellowship International Church, which is located in Northern VA. He currently resides in Fredericksburg, VA and works for the Department of the Army, Office of the Deputy Chief of Staff, G4, Pentagon, Washington DC. Pastor Williams and his wife have two daughters, Charity Nerissa Williams and Angel Neriah Williams. In addition, they have a host of godchildren along with numerous spiritual sons and daughters.

Evangelist Lillian Williams was born and raised in Fayetteville, North Carolina to the parents of Daniel and Audrey Elliott. She is the second of three daughters. Consequently, all three are ordained ministers. Evangelist Williams was united in Holy Matrimony to Bishop Nelson Williams on December 22, 1990, and they are the proud parents of Charity Nerissa and Angel Neriah. Evangelist Williams and her family have been a resident of Fredericksburg, Virginia since 2004, and she and her husband are the Pastors and founders of Unity Christian Fellowship International Church in Alexandria, Virginia. Prior to this new venue, they were Pastors of the Collective Protestant Gospel Service on Camp Walker in Taegu, Korea for approximately nine years. There, Evangelist Williams established the “Women on the Move for God” ministry, a ministry that focuses on the wholeness of women that catapults them to their highest potential as God has purposed for their life. This ministry continues today.

Unity Christian Fellowship International, Alexandria, Virginia

Unity Christian Fellowship International opened its doors to fulfill the great commission in January 2005, with its first Church Service being held in Mount Vernon High School, Alexandria, Virginia.  The humble beginnings of planning and equipping the Saints began in July 2004, when Bishop Nelson Williams called upon Saints of old, whom God had directed, to assist with the foundational planning of the ministry’s upbuilding.  The early services, much like services of all great churches, had its beginning in the homes of the early Saints with eight dedicated and committed Believers.  God was moving mightily and Bishop Williams heeded the mandate from God to open the doors of the church, with services in the dedicated location starting in January 2005.

The leadership of UCFI, Bishop Nelson Williams, and his helpmeet, Evangelist Lillian Williams, are not strangers to church leadership.  While working for the federal government in South Korea, Bishop Nelson Williams began a Gospel Ministry which flourished during his eight year tenure and grew in unprecedented numbers.  It has become the model for International Ministry, as its foundation has been the catalyst for ministries in both Germany and Iraq to date.

Unity Christian Fellowship International Church is a part of the Holy Deliverance Church of God Foundation of the Truth Incorporated, where the overseer is Apostle Bennie L. Kelly.  Our mission is reaching and harvesting lost souls for Christ and teaching the Body of Christ how to effectively apply God's principles to have victory in every area of our everyday life. Unity Christian Fellowship International Church is a place where we promote unity in the Body of Christ as we build a relationship with God, worshipping Him in spirit and in truth.

Since moving to the Mount Vernon/Alexandria community in January 2005, the congregants of Unity Christian Fellowship International have sought to influence a positive change by the very presence of the Holy Spirit in their daily lives.  The ministry continues to grow every day and with God’s help, the Body will fulfill the great commission of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
